Caring for your fabric
Taking good care of your clothes means that you will enjoy them longer. Wear and tear has great impact on your garment. The care method also affects the cost of the item after sale. Here are some tips for consideration to help preserve your garment and environment:
1. Pay close attention to care labels - washable items provide more flexibility and are typically cheaper to maintain
2. If you choose item that requires to be dry cleaned, use eco-friendly dry-cleaning facility
3. For washing, use eco-detergents
4. Dilute powdered detergents in water first
5. Wash less and use the low water cycle or washing machine
5. Use delicate cycle on low temperatures
6. Wash inside-out where possible
7. Consider washing extremely delicate items by hand
8. Do not use dryer, instead hang to dry in well ventilated area. Use dehumidifier to improve the moisture level in the air for better drying. When drying outside, the light breeze helps the drying process.
9. To preserve colours, do not dry or leave the garment on direct sun
10. Iron on low temperature setting
11. Fold properly and store well
12. Place a small container of baking soda or sachet of levander in your closet to keep them smelling fresh
